How does Linear's supervision work for PERS products

Q: How does Linear's supervision work for the PERS products - what reports will come in to the Central Station if subscribers leave home with their pendant transmitters for extended periods of time?

A: The Linear PERS2400 and 3600 consoles offer a 24-hour supervision interval.  This feature can be used along with daily, weekly or monthly automated test reports to ensure that the Console, and its associated transmitters are fully functional, and reporting to the Central Station - without requiring an active test to be performed by the subscriber.

PERS Clients can be advised that they have a 24 hour "grace period" if they leave their premises wearing their device before any reports are made.  If a supervisory report is issued, procedures would be in place to address equipment maintenance.

Dealers will need to be able to evaluate what is best for their business: relying solely on manual testing to ensure product operability (not always practical for elderly subscribers), or handling supervisory error messages for their account base.
