How do I enable a Micronode in eMerge?

To enable a MicroNode:

FIRST:  assure that you have the TDN licenses on the about page Under the Support/Utility: About: screen on the main menu.  (See Attachment)
Emerge 5000 v3.3 has this license included; the TDN license needs to be uploaded and applied when a Micronode is added to the Emerge 50 v3.3 systems.  The part number for the license is 230754 and there is no additional charge for it.

Select from the Name drop-down the Micronode you wish to enable.

You can click the Rename link under the drop-down to enter a name that will help you to identify it, e.g. "FirstFloor MicroNode."

Click to check the Enabled box to the right of the Name drop-down. This allows the communication of security data between the Network Controller and the MicroNode.

Do not change the Unique Identifier field or the Type field. The unique identifier field contains the 16 character unique node ID, and the type field will set itself appropriately upon connection to any node.

NOTE: The Unique Identifier and Type fields would normally be used only when replacing a node for service reasons.

From the Timezone drop-down select the time zone for this Micronode.

NOTE: Each micronode can have its own specified time zone. To set the time zone for the controller select Setup : Time : Network Controller.

    Click Save.

Select Setup : Site Settings : Network Controller to verify that the micronode is connected. Nodes shown in green are enabled and communicating with the network controller. Nodes shown in red are not currently communicating with the network controller. This may take a few moments.
