How to perform a Node Swap in Emerge

Once a Network Controller Combo board or node has been replaced and is powered up, a "Node Swap" has to be performed in the Network Nodes "Commands" tab in order for the existing resources to be assigned to the new Node.

Go to Setup: Site Settings: Network Nodes
On the Network Node Networking page select the new node from the drop-down menu, check the "Enable" box, and then the "Commands" tab.  (Determine the unique identifier for the new node by connecting you laptop/pc directly to the node with an Ethernet cable and opening the NNConfig utility on the eMerge disc.)
Select the "Swap" button.  Then select the node that is being replaced in the drop-down menu.  Click Save.
Select the "Blades" tab and make sure that all of the access blades have the correct resources (readers, inputs & outputs).
Go to Monitor:  Activity Log:
In the event log you will see node events – "Network Node Connected", "Network Node Ident", and "Network Node Startup".
Go to Setup: Site Settings:  Network Controller
Make sure that the node is connected.
Test the connection by presenting a credential to gain access or activating a momentary unlock.
