Transmitters for the AP-5 receiver can be programmed in either timed (momentary) or Toggle (ON/OFF) mode.
Timed mode:
The remote button is pressed and the relay triggers and releases causing the gate or door to open, time out, and close providing good security.
Toggle mode:
Any remote that is programmed as a toggle can be used to toggle (latch) the relay on. Pressing the button on any remote that is programmed as a toggle releases (unlatches) the relay. This allows a gate or door to be locked open to, for example, let traffic flow without waiting for the gate to cycle. Later, when no longer needed, the relay can be toggled off, allowing the gate to close.
If the gate is inadvertently toggled on it can be released by pressing the # key on the AP-5 keypad, then pressing either 1 or 2, depending on which relay is toggled on, K1 or K2.
Normally, pressing the # key and 1 or 2 momentarily triggers the relay.
