What is a tilt compensator?

A tilt compensator is a passive device that can be used to compensate for the uneven signal strength loss that occurs between analog low frequency and analog high frequency channels as a CATV or Off-Air UHF signal is transmitted on RG6 coax cable for a distance of 200 feet.   It can also be used to balance a CATV signal where the analog low channels are stronger than the analog high channels.   (The imbalance can be observed as lower channels being clear but the higher channels become snowy as you tune to higher channels).
