You can connect up to 7 AE-500s on the same phone line; however, each panel has to have its “address” set in programming.

Set the unit number for each AE-500:

1. Press and hold 0 and 2 for about 1-second.

2. Enter the password (default is 1 2 3 4 5 6).

3. Press #.

4. Enter 7 1 #.

5. Enter the unit number (1-7).

6. Press #.

7. Exit Programming Mode.

Create a connection for each unit:

1. Start creating a “Dial-up” connections for each unit.

2. When the “New Connection Wizard” asks for the “Connection
    Name” enter a unique name for the specific unit.
    Example: “AE-500 Unit #2.”

3. When the “New Connection Wizard” asks for the “Phone Number
    to Dial”, enter the common telephone number for the multi-unit
    installation followed by four commas, the unit number, and a #.
    Example: “555-1234,,,,2#.”

Note: Each comma adds a 2-second delay to the dialing process.

         The actual number of commas will depend on the time

         required by the telephone system to  make a connection

         to the AE-500.

4. When the “New Connection Wizard” is finished, a desktop icon
    named for each AE-500 unit will be created on the computer.
