In the upper right hand corner of the left hand side of the operator, you will see a rectangular cutout. In this area you will find two small adjustment screws labeled "OPEN FORCE" and "CLOSE FORCE".
Moving the appropriate adjusting screw clockwise will increase the force setting of the operator. Moving the adjusting screw counterclockwise will decrease the force setting of the operator. There are only about 270 degrees of travel available for these adjustments, between minimum force and maximum force. The operator should be set for the minimum force required to consistently operate the door. The operator comes from the factory with the force settings on minimum. Force adjustments should not be used to compensate for improperly adjusted or broken door springs or hardware. If your door is difficult to open by hand, contact your installing dealer or other garage door professional.
