Why isn't the door opening at the scheduled time spec?

If your door(s) are not opening at the scheduled time there are several things to check:  Is the node(s) the portal group is on connected and otherwise running normally?

If the node is not connected see connecting a node in the knowledge base. If the node is running normally and granting access through doors as expected proceed as below.
First check Setup, Access Control, Portal Groups
Check that the portal group that contains your door(s) in question to see of the portal group for the door(s) has listed in the Unlock Time spec drop down menu the correct time spec, and that the window marked Portals: "Selected :" contains the door(s) you want to open at the specified time. If they are not you may add them to the Selected window by either double clicking them in the Portals: Available :  window to move them to the Selected: window or highlight the door(s) and click the arrow ">" to move them to the right hand, Selected: pane.

Conversely if there are doors in the Selected: window you can do the same to remove them, either double click the door or click the arrow "<" to move them to the left, Available: window.

If the portal group page is correct you'll next want to verify the time spec you have selected is accurate by checking Setup, Time, Time Specs. Verify that the time spec you have selected in your portal group contains the hours of the day you want. Start Time (H.H.:MM): and End Time (H.H.:MM):  are in 24 hour format. Also verify the days of the week you want are also selected.  If you need your portal group to open at these times during any holidays, then those holidays must be in a holiday group and that holiday group must be checked as part of this time spec.

Note: Holidays act as exclusions to time specifications, (except for the "Always" time spec).

If you create a holiday that falls on a Monday then a time specification of "weekdays" (Monday through Friday) will not include the Monday on which the holiday falls. Access attempts on that particular Monday will be denied. If certain employees require access on that particular Monday then you must include the Holiday in one of the Holiday groups provided and include the group in the time specification definition. If your time spec is inaccurate then you can edit the time spec in the following way; From the Time Specification drop-down list select an existing time spec.

The other fields in this page will fill in with the details of this time spec. Edit the fields that require changes.  Click "Save." If everything is accurate and your door(s) are still not opening at the correct time further actions may be necessary. Generally of this action has become corrupt within the database then deleting and recreating is your next option. First you will want to remove the time spec and the associated portals from the portal group, and then delete the portal group.

Next delete and recreate the time spec including any holiday inclusions you may need and save it. Once the time spec has been recreated, recreate the portal group by naming it then selecting the Unlock Time spec: and add the portal(s) to the Selected: window then click "Save." You may now wish to test your portal group. Before doing so go to Setup, Site Settings, Network Nodes and click the   "Refresh Now" link to refresh the node(s) that contain the portals of your portal group.
