How do I transfer my database from one PC to another?

This is not necessary if you are using Axnet as the whole database is stored within the access panel’s memory. However, since AccessBase (AB) and AccessBase2000 (AB2K) are distributed databases, you need to copy files to another computer in order to program the system with that computer.

01. Close AB/AB2K.

02. Open Windows Explorer.

03. Open C: drive.

04. Open Program Files.

05. Open AB/AB2K.

06. Open Installations.

07. Copy the folder with the installation name to a flash drive.

08. Remove the flash drive from the first computer and plug it in to
the second computer.

09. Open Windows Explorer.

10. Open C: drive.

11. Open program Files.

12. Open AB/AB2K.

13. Open Installations.

14. Open the flash drive and drag the folder with the installation
name to the Installations folder under AB/AB2K.

15. Click File, then click Open.

16. Click Browse.

17. Open the folder with your installation’s name.

18. Double-click the file with your installation’s name.

19. In the Installations window, double-click the shortcut to open the installation.
