Scenario 1 – Max3/MiniMax3 with an HID card reader using HubManager Pro
1. Verify that the jumper on JP2 on the Max3 Door Control Module has been removed. This jumper is located just above the blue, secondary Front End Connector which is located just above the primary Front End Connector.
2. Place this jumper on 1 of the 2 pins on JP2 for safekeeping.
3. Check the wire connections from the card reader to the Front End Connector. The proper order for connection of the wires from left to right is:
- Black – Red – Green – White
- Connect the orange wire to the secondary Front End Connector center position marked LED.
- Prox 26-Bit HID – IEI
- Prox 26-Bit HID
6. Enter the proper Site Code or Facility Code
- Cards and Fobs with the IEI logo are always site code 11
- Please see the documentation or packing slip included with your non IEI labeled cards, to determine the correct site code.
Scenario 2 – Max2/MiniMax2 with an HID card reader using HubManager Pro
1. HID card readers on a Max2/MiniMax2, require that the Secured Series Interface Module (SS-IM) be installed between the card reader and the panel.
2. Verify the wire connections from the card reader to the SS-IM. The proper order is:
SS-IM ---------- Card Reader
1 Black
2 Red
3 White
4 Green
5 Orange
3. Verify the wire connection from the SS-IM at connector P6 to the Front End Connector on the Max2
P6 Connector ---------- Front End Connector
Black Black
Red Red
White/Black WH/BK
White/Yellow WH/YL
4. Verify that all of the switches on the SS-IM are in the off position.
5. When adding users in the HubManager Pro program, choose the proper format for the cards being used. Example formats are:
- Prox 26-Bit HID – IEI
- Prox 26-Bit HID
7. Enter 00 for the Site Code or Facility Code.
8. After all the card users are entered into HubManager, do a full export to the controller.
