Supply Planner
The Supply Planner is responsible for ordering, scheduling and control of finished goods from our operations in China and other suppliers worldwide thru delivery to our U.S. distribution locations.
- Confers with manager on progress of assigned projects and tasks.
- Purchasing activities will be involved.
- Meets material requirements in accordance with defined service and inventory levels.
- Coordinates running of ERP and forecasting System including processing purchase order requests and working out delivery discrepancies.
- Maintain System parameters for lead time, safety stock, and delivery dates.
- Expedite/reschedules existing order as needed to meet changes in demand and coordinates with customer service in satisfying customer service issues.
- Insures engineering changes are implemented with minimal obsolescence.
- Prepares supply/operations related reports.
- Special projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- BA or BS degree in Business, or Supply Chain desired or
- 5+ years recent Supply Planning, Inventory Control or customer service experience
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP/MPS systems, (MAXCIM, SYSPRO, Smoothie preferred)
- Purchasing experience a plus
Department: Operations
Facilities Manager
We are seeking a hands-on professional to oversee facilities management for several multi-site office locations. Responsibilities include occupational health and safety, fire safety, security, maintenance systems, periodic statutory testing and inspections, operational activities, and emergency business continuity planning. Ideal candidate will have the mechanical aptitude and a roll-up-sleeves attitude to do small in-house repairs on own.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and justify capital requirements to meet the revenue plan including space planning, forecasting growth and budgeting. Responsible for the department’s quality, performance, output, and on time delivery.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, systems, and equipment by troubleshooting equipment, machinery and systems, and documenting and tracking failures and coordinating repair beyond the scope of in-house repair abilities.
- Assist with physical on-site security including the fire system and building access control system.
- Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety, environmental practices, area processes, and waste reduction opportunities.
- Manage facility remodels, internal company relocations, and physical set-up of offices and events.
Qualifications:
- Facilities management certification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years’ managerial experience, excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience with building maintenance.
- Proficient in MS Office programs.
- Working knowledge of California Occupational Safety and Health standards
- Good customer service skills, good business sense, good organization skills and good financial know-how.
- Smart about managing technology and outsourcing.
- Proven success in a corporate maintenance management function.
- Familiarity with Nortel Option 11 PBX a plus.

Sr. Mechanical Engineer
We are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our development team. This individual will design, analyze and troubleshoot the mechanical designs of a wide variety of product lines, from concept to manufacturing release. Requires close interaction with software, systems and electrical engineering functions.
The position is responsible for the following key functions/activities within the company:
- Works with hardware, software and engineering personnel providing technical support and oversight of systems design and development projects.
- Manages project issues, budgets, and schedules.
- Specifies and qualifies mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
- Plans and conducts technical projects or phases of projects.
- Provides technical and operational leadership.
- Performs competitive product (and intellectual property) analysis.
- Defines, generates and reviews project requirements.
- Works with technicians and engineers developing and testing equipment and systems.
- Solves technical problems employing solid scientific methods such as controlled experiments.
Qualifications
- Broad knowledge in plastic injection molded part design and materials.
- Knowledge of gate and/or commercial door operators desired.
- Sheet metal and die casting design experience.
- Knowledge of gear and driven mechanisms.
- Working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office.
- Knowledge of MS Project and Visio is also desired.

Industrial Design Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY - Generates and develops concepts and designs for Linear products. The content includes aspects of form, innovation, aesthetics, ergonomics, space utilization and product feasibility.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Convert verbal and written product requirements into conceptual designs that meet functional, feature, and cost targets. Must be self motivated and possess the ability to work from high level, abstract requirements.
- Synthesize and develop new product ideas in the form of sketches, two-dimensional drawings and three-dimensional models
- Appropriately incorporate innovative design ideas into new product development concepts. Strong understanding of the materials and manufacturing processes required to produce high quality, cost effective products from those concepts
- Ensure timely and adequate completion of all design phases and projects
- Manage multiple programs simultaneously
- Communicate, organize and interpret design intent to management, engineering marketing and sales team members
- Present reasons for recommending one design approach over another
- Coordinate the timely scheduling of design reviews to ensure design progresses from the charter to completion according to program requirements and current workload
- Assist engineering with all stages of the product development process including concept through product realization, problem resolution, design changes for product and manufacturing improvements
- Coordinate the construction and review of product mock-ups
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary product core team meetings
- Must work well with others in a team environment and foster clear and continuous communication with other groups which design will affect
- Attend appropriate customer events and demonstrate an ability to manage interactions with customers and dealers so as to maintain a keen understanding of end users product requirements
- Ensure that manufacturability is incorporated into product design
- Work with suppliers (both internal and external) to ensure that design incorporates low cost, high quality manufacturing techniques
- Maintain knowledge of industry and competitive trends with respect to Industrial design and product usability
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Industrial Design required
- Minimum of three years of experience in a design related position.
- Computer design experience to include 3-D modeling techniques required (Solidworks highly preferred).
- Proficiency in PC based tools with a focus on Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and general web based applications
- Candidates sketching style and abilities will be evaluated and used as a criteria to determine fit for the position

Product Manager
We are seeking a Product Manager to help drive new product innovation and development. Responsibilities include market and user segmentation, business case development for new product and market opportunities, product positioning, competitive intelligence and defining; and tracking product and business success metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Business case development for new product opportunities (build/buy/partner) or market entry strategies.
- Product definition with detailed market analysis defining the market segments, conducting competitive analysis, formulating a business case with the value proposition and a "go to market" plan. Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with business unit objectives.
- Product lifecycle management. Define product launch readiness and success metrics in coordination with sales management. Maintain product lifecycle documents. Define the product strategy and roadmap including annual and long-range plans. Track products from inception through phase out of product.
- Track consumer feedback, customer care, customer satisfaction, dashboards and metrics to measure success and engagement of new and existing features and functionalities.
- Provide market intel through dealer councils, consumer surveys and independent forums.
- Contribute to trade off discussions during the development process.
- Grow revenue and margin contribution of a given category.
- Sets goals, establishes priorities, assigns tasks, monitors and evaluates results.
- Participates with other senior managers to develop strategic plans and goals.
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
- Represent the category and the brand internally and externally. Perform product demos to customers.
- Develop sales tools and collateral. Partner with training content development to ensure appropriate lesson plans for sales, installation and support staff at the rep and dealer level. Brief and train the sales force, technical support and customer service teams.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years product management, market development, and technical sales experience. B.S. or B.A. degree required; MBA desired. Technical business management or marketing focus preferred.
- Experience with CE products is strongly preferred.
- Direct experience launching consumer products or services and managing product marketing strategy for those products.
- Ability to understand and interpret a complex competitive landscape and effectively prioritize the projects that will deliver the greatest impact on objectives.
- Excellent organizational, presentation and writing skills and ability to successfully interact across functions and at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to travel as needed.
