Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will assist the accounting team’s efforts to ensure that the financials are properly stated in accordance with GAAP, prepare schedules for financial reporting, and help maintain controls and documentation for compliance with SOX. Candidate will apply principles of accounting to prepare financial journal entries, analyze financial information, and prepare corporate financial reporting documents.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, review, and assure timely and accurate completion of monthly general ledger journal entries
  • Perform daily & monthly bank reconciliations
  • Maintain lease schedules, other LT assets & account reconciliations
  • Perform a wide range of routine monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Assist in preparation of monthly schedules for corporate financial package (I-file, quarter and year end package)
  • Perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes
  • Collect appropriate data and prepares numerous federal, state, and local reports and surveys
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and year end closing activities
  • Assist in updating process documentation, SOX testing, and documentation of internal and external audits
  • Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
  • Participates in special projects designed around current departmental priorities
Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • 2-5 years recent accounting experience
  • Experience in manufacturing accounting a plus
  • Knowledge of GAAP standards
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of NetSuite Financials a plus

Credit Supervisor

Linear LLC, is seeking a Credit Supervisor to become a member of our accounting team. The Credit Supervisor will be responsible for management and administration of credit and collection activities for domestic and international accounts.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Reviews customer credit history to grant or deny extensions of credit
  • Supervises past due account collection and sends follow-up letter if payment is not received
  • Sets up condition of payment schedule and closely monitor collection of accounts
  • Turns delinquent accounts over to collection agency or advises of legal action
  • Month end reporting functions
  • Reconciles A/R trade and related accounts
  • Balances all incoming cash to general ledger
  • Tracks sales rep commission deductions
  • Creates and maintains the weekly credit hold report
  • Handles credit limits for new customers
  • Maintains Proficient distribution accounts
  • Processes all EFT payments
  • Trains new staff members
  • Handles mailing of monthly customer statements
  • May handle California State Sales Tax
Requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college
  • 4-6 years related experience
  • 2+ years previous supervisory experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of credit and collections practices and principles
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Outstanding telephone and negotiating skills
  • Comprehensive California Sales Tax Use understanding

Department: Accounting
Credit & Collections Specialist

The successful Credit & Collections Specialist candidate will be responsible for credit investigations, collections, invoicing, processing credits and debits, reconciling accounts, cash posting, and processing returns for credit.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Processes and verifies applications for credit and solicits payment on overdue accounts
  • Establishes credit limitations on customer accounts and handles special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment
  • Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer
  • Processes daily credit card deposits
  • Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment
  • Researches and processes charge backs, returns, and bad checks
  • Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up
  • Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts
  • May handle California State Sales Tax
Requires:

  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college

Senior Telemarketer/Appointment Setter

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Telemarketing Rep to assist us in a new business to business inside direct marketing effort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound phone calls to prospective customers from leads generated through advertising, trade show activity, cross selling campaigns, builders, and attendees of our product training classes.
  • Provide a high energy approach with all calls, demonstrating a passion for building a strong rapport and closing the call by setting appointments, providing information, gathering information, qualifying a lead, generating additional leads, or providing customer service.
  • Timely call processing and customer follow up.
  • Attention to detail and clear documentation necessary to effectively support the Sales team.
  • Accurately and professionally acquires customer information and books appointment with appropriate sales manager.
  • Properly enters contact information into the ACT system.

Job Requirements:

This is a full-time, in-office job opportunity, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. The successful candidate will receive a base salary of $14.00 an hour, plus the ability to earn up to an additional $6 an hour incentive based on calls & appointments.

This position is responsible for researching, designing, and developing digital and analog electronic systems in conjunction with software and RF product development. In addition, this position involves managing and supporting new product design and/or sustaining projects.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Designs electrical and electronic circuits for a variety of products including analog, power and microprocessor based electronic products
  • Works with hardware, software and engineering personnel providing technical support and oversight of systems design and development projects
  • Plans and conducts technical projects or phases of projects
  • Technical and operational leadership of a project/mission or a group of projects supporting a mission

Experience Requirements:

Sr. Software Engineer/ Software Test Automation Engineer

Linear LLC, electronics manufacturer of home automation systems, is seeking a qualified Sr. Software Engineer/ Software Test Automation Engineer to become a member of our Engineering team.

The position is responsible for the following key functions/activities within the organization:

  • Responsible for broad set of software development tasks including, but not limited to, design, development, coding, maintenance, test and test automation.
  • Software design duties shall include coding and implementing code fixes as needed in various embedded code products.
  • Software test duties include verification of candidate releases (from both internal developers and contract development teams), writing of test plans, collecting/reporting results, issuing bug reports and verifying bug fixes.
  • Software test automation duties include developing and implementing automation framework, tools, libraries and/or scripts to automate validation and verification of candidate software releases.
  • Architect framework for test automation. Design and implement modular and reusable automated test solutions which improve speed, quality, and coverage of software test.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for generating software defect reports when the software is found to behave incorrectly.
  • Work with product design team to recommend additional API, feature and functional requirements when which enhance test and test automation.
  • More general software design duties include design, development and maintenance of software or embedded firmware throughout product’s lifecycle from concept to deployment. Member of multi-disciplinary team responsible for development of new products being introduced to Linear’s broad line of home and commercial electronics.
  • Generates thorough and concise software requirements, software verification plans and well-documented software packages.
  • Provides engineering support for post-production issues.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years experience writing/developing software test automation scripts and/or tools and applications. in the development of embedded microcontroller-based software systems.
  • Experience programming in “C” programming language
  • Working knowledge with Windows application programming using Visual Studio
  • Must have hands-on development of embedded targets using in-circuit debuggers and basic electronic test equipment, including scopes and logic analyzers
  • Experience with Microchip PIC, ARM processors and ARM development tools (Green Hills MULTI, GNUARM/WINARM, ARM7, ARM9) highly desired.
  • Must have experience working under software configuration management system similar to Subversion/TortoiseSVN and bug tracking system such as Mantis Defect Tracking.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP network communications protocols a plus
  • Experience with scripting language such as Python, PERL or equivalent is desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Education/Experience
  • BSCS or BSEE with emphasis on software, and 4-8 years related experience, or equivalent education or experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the development of embedded microcontroller-based software products.
